The meeting started by a pledge of allegiance by Chayne-KI4WBN and Prayer led by Bob-KI4MEU.
Attendance:
The meeting was conducted by Club President, Bob-N4CU and there were 16 members and 1 guest present.
Secretary Report:
No minutes to report due to Founder's Day. A report of the meeting is posted under the minutes section of the website. Motion to accept the minutes as posted was made by Richard-KE4BFX and seconded by Mike-KJ4JNA. Motion on approved by a show of hands, no opposing votes.
Treasurer Report:
Bob-KI4MEU reported a previous balance of $1,367.89.
Repeater Report:
Still has strobe noise.
Training Report:
Ron-KI5FR reported 19 people from EOC are interested in Training. Also classes for ICS, Richard-KE4BFX would help.
Website Report:
Bob-N4CU working okay. Also Website has info on Founder's Day.
Station Report:
Cal-W4GMH reported he was at Shoal River Middle and Riverside Elementary School's testing the VHF antennas. As of Friday Sept.11, ‘09 they are working great.
Emergency Operation Center:
Bob-N4CU (DEC), Bob-W5RE, and Ron-KI5FR discussed WinLink for emergency communications.
Activities Report:
Cal-W4GMH- Foxhunt will be in the future. On Saturday October 10, 09 – Scout Fun Day at the Fairgrounds, FWB. Volunteers are Ron-KI5FR, Bob-N4CU and
Cal-W4GMH. On Saturday October 17, 09- JOTA at Dorcas FD- Volunteers are Bob-N4CU, Cal-W4GMH, Chayne-KI4WBN, Jon-KI4UMT, Joe-KB4LSL and Richard-KE4BFX.
Joe-KB4LSL discussed using D-Star at events.
VHF Contest on Saturday Sept. 12, 09 at Dorcas FD using 2 & 6 meters.
Volunteers are Cal-W4GMH, Jerry-N8PXE, Richard-KE4BFX and Ron-KI5FR.
Old Business:
Nothing was reported.
New Business:
Cal-W4GMH reported the Club has a Library of Amateur radio books at Dorcas FD.
Bob-N4CU discussed selling the 48' tower which is stacked behind FD.
Program:
Cal-W4GMH introduced a musical chairs way to pair new amateurs to more experienced ELMERs to get on the air activity by our new licensees
Motion was made to Adjourn by Bob-KI4MEU, seconded by Ron-KI5FR.
